Neon flex are tubes of LEDs made to give the look of real neon. It’s an easy-to-work-with, environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional neon—which require a skilled artisan with specialized equipment to blow glass tubes and fill them with mercury and various other noble gases. This is a fun, but introductory workshop, were students will focus on learning basic electrical and wiring skills. We will have a few simple, but fun, pre-made designs for students to choose from, including: a rainbow, heart balloon/lollipop, an ice cream cone, and any basic shapes are possible. Students will leave the workshop with their own NEON flex piece up to 14in x 14in’ on wire display mesh.
