Beginner's Woodworking: Geometric Shelves

  • Museum of Human Achievement 3600 Lyons Road Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

Learn the basics of woodworking while brushing up on your geometry skills!

This class taught by the badasses at Broads and Boards will help you become more familiar using a miter saw and nailer.  You will have their choice of making a hexagon or triangle shelf. The ticket cost includes all supplies, plus you will be able to walk away with your own hand-built shelf!

About our instructor: Leeann Terwilliger is a social worker and woodworker.  She is the founder of Broads and Boards, an Austin non-profit dedicated to empowering women in woodworking through workshops and events that promote access, education, and community. Broads and Boards aims to create safe and welcoming spaces for women to learn woodworking and other trade skills.
