*Short Fiction: Finding Story Through Imagery*
Heather Hasselle will take us on a journey in understanding the old adage you've heard again and again (and never quite grasped): SHOW don't TELL! Short fiction writer and educator Hasselle will focus on creating narrative from visual imagery. Write your own piece inspired from surprise photographs!
Heather Hasselle is a writer from Mississippi, living in Austin where she works at Hyde Park Montessori and performs improvised theater at the Hideout Theatre. She has attended several writing workshops including the Iowa's Summer Writers' Workshop and Zoetrope All-story. She teaches creative writing to kids through Badgerdog Literary Publishing and Austin Bat Cave. This summer, she's been accepted to attend the Tin House Summer Workshop in Portland, Oregon.
Heather has also graciously offered to workshop any work-in-progress stories from writers. If you have a piece you've been stuck on, please bring it to class.
$5 cash or card, or you purchase the Creative Writing bundle for $12, which includes all three workshops! Email us to purchase this deal.
