Intro to Woodworking: Custom Plant Stands
Escape from the SXChaos and join us as we explore the basics of woodworking, power tools, and joinery at Co.Lab, the only donation-based studio and makerspace in Austin.
In this workshop, we'll use band and mitre saws, belt sanders, drills, and in-house 3D printed jigs to cut and construct own our takes on a classic planter stand design. No experience in tool use is needed or necessary, but a passion for experimenting is a plus!
Work alongside HIVE facilitators and Co.Lab founders Cynthia Ayala and Elizabeth Mikeska as they share their skills, their passion for tinkering, and their story behind what motivated them to create a workspace that focuses on accessibility and inclusivity for all of Austin's makers, artists, and creators!
