In this two part film workshop, attendees will work together to create a collaborative film exploring visual narrative and storytelling. All participants will have an opportunity to write, film, act, and direct. Devising is a very important aspect of this workshop, and provides experience in many different aspects of filmmaking.
About the Instructor:
Ana Treviño (b. 1984 in Galveston, TX) is a new media artist who recently graduated with her MFA in Art and Technology from the University of Florida. Her practice investigates hybrid cultures through video installation and performance. Examining how place and geography develop shifts in society is what interests her. Her most recent work invites viewers to explore the temporal space created by habitual crossings of the U.S. Mexican border through language, visuals, and sound.
